Tried this game with a couple of friends, tasked with rescuing a kidnapped princess from a castle in the Ransom Duchy, and while it took them a little while to shift gears out of D&D and get into Mayhem Mode, they were definitely starting to get it by the time one squire coaxed his Archery 1 knight into shooting blindly into a melee, then botched the emergency surgery on the other knight. Everyone had a ton of fun, and it was really helpful that the worldbuilding is exactly wacky enough that I could make the twist at the end "the lady of the castle is actually the princess's girlfriend and the kidnapping is basically an elaborate form of roleplay" and have it not feel out of place.
Just ran this with three friends. It was the must fun and the loudest laughter we've ever had playing a ttrpg. Also my first time DMing, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Super excited for this game! I'm going to try and get a discord game going with some friends asap while we're all cooped up. It's a beam of silly sunshine right now.
Thanks for this Johnny - this period of isolation has meant I've been able to reconnect with some online friends for the first time in a while, and most of them practically leaped out of their seats with excitement when I showed this to them. Really looking forward to giving it a go.
